Tough Truck Night to feature
Shorttracktrucks.com Challenge Series, Smokey Burnout competition

-- There is nothing more American than apple pie, short track
racing on a Saturday night, and Pickup trucks. In honor of the
great American mode of transportation Lorain Speedway has designated
the Saturday May 7th show as Tough Truck Night. Tough
Truck Night will feature the ShortTrackTruck.com Challenge series
where Chevrolet Silverado, Ford F-150, and Dodge Ram full-sized
racing-prepared trucks compete in fender-to-fender excitement!

- As part of the
activities, fans can bring their pickup truck and compete in
the Smokey Burnout Competition and the Ugly Truck Contest! All
of the registered trucks will parade around the track, display
their truck, and winners will be voted by fan applause. Race
fans are also encouraged to display their colors
for their favorite manufacturer while cheering for the Ford,
Chevy, or Dodge rides of the ShortTrackTruck.com Challenge Series
drivers.

- In a move unprecedented
in the local area, Lorain Speedway will offer race fans the chance
to win a ride in one of the ShortTrackTrucks.Com Challenge Series
trucks. Two lucky fans will win a ride in a ShortTrack Truck
two-seater. Adult race fans will be registered to win with their
General Admission Ticket at the gate. Fans can also register
to win a ride on Lorain Speedways 3/8-mile oval on Friday,
May 6th from 5-9 PM at Church Street Bar and Grill. Church Street
Bar and Grill is located in Amherst, Ohio at the corner of Church
and Tenney. Visit the bar, register to win, see the show truck,
and meet one of the drivers in the Short Track Truck Challenge
Series!

Series Champion Joey Shuryan will look to bring his Ford F-150
home at the front of the field at Lorain Speedway. Having competed
there in the past in Outlaw Super Late Model competition, Shuryan
stands out as the favorite. Although, he will have lots of company
at the head of the field with Dodge Ram pilot, Keith Wioncek,
winner of the last race of 2004, gearing up to challenge for
the win. Look for the trucks to bring their trademark style of
bump and rub, action-packed racing to Lorain Speedway. According
to Wioncek, we are so excited to run at Lorain Speedway.

Challenge Series races specially prepared racing trucks at short
tracks across the Great Lakes area. The fastest growing truck
racing class in the region, the Challenge Series offers professional
oval track racing in an exciting, fast-paced, fender banging

features Saturday night racing at 7 PM from mid-April to mid-September
and is the 2004 Scene Magazine Winner of the Best Bang
for Your Buck Award. Lorain Speedway has met the highest
of standards to become one of only 65 NASCAR-sanctioned tracks
