Truck Racers Come Together for World Stock Car Festival at Winchester Speedway
August 30, 2005

LIVONIA, MI -- Officials from the Indy United Racing League and the
ShortTrackTrucks.com Challenge Series have confirmed plans to compete
jointly at the short track truck event to be held in conjunction with the
World Stock Car Festival from September 4-5 at the historic Winchester
Speedway. A scheduled thirty laps of feature event racing await the
Winchester Speedway fans as the best short track truck racers in the Midwest invade the ultra-fast high banked half-mile. The race trucks will compete together on the track as part of the World Stock Car Festival which will also feature the CRA Super Series late models, Outlaw Late Models and
Modifieds.

With very similar rules packages, the two series will come together bringing
their top competitors to challenge for the win. ShortTrackTrucks.com
Challenge Series front runners Joey Shuryan and Bob Fruit are slated to make the trip to central Indiana as are IURL Series top truck racers Tom Miller, Derek Price, and Joe Hill. On-track activity starts with practice,
qualifying, and heat races set for Sunday, Sept 4th, followed by feature
racing set for Monday, September 5th. An optional open practice period is
scheduled for Saturday, September 3rd.

According to ShortTrackTrucks.com Challenge Series President, Cary Cole,
"This race will be our second event where the two race truck series have
cooperated to put on a special show. The first was a great success with
hard racing and a close finish. We expect nearly 30 trucks at Winchester
Speedway, on the fastest half-mile speedway in the world, and that will make for a very memorable event."

To protect the integrity of each series' championship points race, each
series will score its drivers separately for points and purse awards. Each
series will also inspect according to their own rulebook. Event participation is restricted to those drivers and teams in good standing with both the ShortTrackTrucks.com Challenge Series and the Indy United Racing League. No drivers or teams on suspension from or banned from either series will be allowed to compete in this event.
